When getting married in Palos Verdes, the Hawaii of the South Bay, there are four popular choices:
Wayfarers Chapel: The big "glass church" on the hill has ocean views from all sides and is one of the most romantic locations in Los Angeles, whether or not you plan to wed there. Spots for weddings go fast, so book early. For ceremonies only.
La Venta Inn: Operated by the New York Food Company, most couples have their receptions and ceremonies here, in a quiet little enclave up in the hills, with dramatic oean views from P.V. to Malibu. Great at sunsets!
Neighborhood Church: The small little church by the sea looks like it's right out of an Alfred Hitchcock movie ("Vertigo" anyone?) with a big, classic clocktower. Inside is a beautiful old church with, natch, an ocean view. Wonderful surroundings and gardens here too. Ceremonies only.
Trump National Golf Course: The latest addition to P.V. weddings offers outdoor and indoor weddings, with views of the greenery and blue water, with ballrooms for large or intimate receptions.
